DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's soccer team will welcome the Evansville Aces to Cownie Soccer Complex on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs are aiming to get back into the win column after dropping a closely-contested match at Bradley, 1-0, on Saturday. Drake generated 15 shots but placed only four on frame, and the Braves converted on a set piece in the 57
th minute to take the result.
Goalkeeper
Luke Anderson tied his career high with four saves against the Braves. Bradley applied pressure early with three shots on goal in the opening 20 minutes, but Anderson was nails between the posts, stopping them all.
Scouting Evansville
The Aces (2-6-1, 0-3-0 MVC) come to Des Moines having lost four matches in a row, most recently falling 4-0 to No. 17 Missouri State. They are currently in last place in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Evansville is searching for its first road win of the season. The Aces are 0-3-1 in away games, only drawing points from a 1-1 tie against Lipscomb.
Following last season's 4-8-7 record, Evansville was picked fifth in the MVC preseason poll. The Aces beat Drake, 2-1, in Evansville last season.
Senior midfielder Jesse Stafford-Lacey was chosen to the All-MVC preseason team after earning a spot on the all-conference second team in 2018. He is tied for the Evansville lead with three goals this season and paces the Aces with seven points.
Ryan Harris, a sophomore midfielder, has also notched three goals this season. Freshman Nkosi Graham, a 5-foot-6 winger, has made an impact early with a team-best two assists.
