Four Bulldogs Compete On The First Day of the Gopher Invitational

Bulldogs collect doubles wins

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Drake University men's tennis team began its final competition of the fall season Friday afternoon at the Gopher Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota.

The Bulldogs picked up three doubles wins in the first two rounds of the doubles draw as Reid Jarvis and Freddie Powell teamed up for two wins. The doubles squad of Luka Jankovic and Finley Hall also collected a 6-4 win.

Jarvis also earned a singles win for the Bulldogs with a comeback 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 win over DePaul's Boris Spanjaard.

The Bulldogs continue the action at the Gopher Invitational Saturday at 8 a.m.
