The Drake University women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Minnesota Saturday afternoon at the Golden Gophers' Baseline Tennis Center. Drake's scheduled evening match against Gustavus Adolphus Saturday evening was canceled.
 
The Bulldogs opened the day with close double matches before Minnesota prevailed to take the doubles point. Drake was the defeated in straight sets in all six singles matches to give the Gophers the 7-0 victory. Despite falling behind early in their matches, both Liza Petushkova and Daria Walczak battle back to force close second sets before ultimately falling.
 
The Bulldogs (5-9) continue their season in two weeks when they travel to the west coach to face Azusa Pacific and Fullerton.
