TULSA, Okla. -- The Drake University men's soccer team begins the 2019 season on the road at Oral Roberts on Friday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. Drake holds a 6-1-1 advantage in the all-time series, having won the latest matchup, 3-2, in 2011.

Oral Roberts finished 6-7-3 in 2018 and was picked to finish fourth this season in the Summit League. The Golden Eagles will be making their official season debut on Friday after previously splitting a pair of exhibition matches.

Drake will look to continue the momentum from its 2-1 victory over Drury University on Aug. 25. The win concluded the Bulldogs' three-game exhibition schedule in which they finished 1-0-2.

Drake was picked to finish third in the Missouri Valley Conference in 2019 and had three players -- senior goalkeeper Jared Brown, junior forward Leroy Enzugusi, and senior midfielder Cole Poppen -- selected to the preseason all-conference team.
