CHICAGO, Ill. – The Drake University men's soccer team fell to DePaul, 3-0, on Monday at Wish Field in Chicago. The Blue Demons struck early in each half to put away the Bulldogs.
 
DePaul's Youssef Ramadan headed home a corner kick off the foot of Max De Bruijne in the 11^th minute to give the Blue Demons an early lead. DePaul added to its lead in the 51^st minute on an impressive free-kick strike by Zach El-Shafei before scoring again in the 52^nd minute courtesy of a volley by Jacob Seeto.
 
The Bulldogs (1-3-0) weren't without scoring opportunities of their own, gaining a 9-7 advantage in shot attempts. Leroy Enzugusi and Antonio Sanchez both fired two shots, and Antonio Melendez uncorked a shot on goal for Drake.
 
It was a physical match as the teams combined to be whistled for 37 fouls and nine yellow cards.
 
Drake returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. against Kansas City at Cownie Soccer Complex.
