Drake at Evansville Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES
  • The win was Drake's second road win of the season and first in league play. 
  • Drake has not lost back-to-back regular-season games since Jan. 2 and 5, 2019.
  • Drake led for 39:46 of the contest, its most time in the lead this season.
  • Drake's 23-point margin of victory equaled the team's biggest in a road game in the last decade and its biggest in a Valley game. Previously, Drake owned a 23-point win at IUPUI in Dec. 2013 and a 21-point advantage at SIU in 2011.
  • Drake's 11-point lead six minutes into the game at 14-3 was the Bulldogs' biggest lead in an MVC road game this season and second-biggest lead on the road this season to that point. Drake later broke that mark with a 20-point lead in the final seconds of the first half.
  • Drake has shot 49.2 percent (251-of-510) in its last nine games.
  • Drake finished with 10 three-pointers to mark the fifth time this season Drake has made 10 or more three-pointers in a game and the first time since Jan. 4. It was the third time Drake has done son on a road at the season.
  • Drake held a 20-point, 46-26, lead at halftime. The 46 points were the third-most Drake has scored in a first half this season against a Division I opponent and second-most in MVC action. Drake improved to 10-0 this season and 31-2 under head coach Darian DeVries when leading at halftime.
  • Drake's 20-point lead was its fifth lead of 20 or more points this season and its third against a Division I opponent.
  • Drake held a 38-34 advantage in rebounds. Drake is 9-2 this season and 27-4 over the past two seasons when outrebounding its opponent.
  • Drake has averaged 38.0 points per game in the paint in its last four games and outscored each of those opponents in the paint.
  • Drake had 20 or more assists for the fifth time this season and first since Jan. 4.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • With a dunk at 5:40 in the first half, Liam Robbins hit double-figures in scoring for the 12th-straight game. Robbins finished with 16 points and eight rebounds before fouling out.
  • Liam Robbins was credited with three blocks to move into a tie for third in single-season blocks at Drake. Robbins is tied with former teammate Nick McGlynn 2018-19 season at 53 blocks. McGlynn's 56 blocks in 2017-18 is the school record.
  • Roman Penn had seven first-half assists to mark the 14th time he has had six or more assists in a game this season and the eighth-straight game in which he has done so.
  • Roman Penn matched a season-high with three three-pointers.
  • Jonah Jackson made three three-pointers in the first half to mark the eighth time he has made three or more three-pointers in a game.

SERIES NOTES
  • Drake is now 25-28 all-time against Evansville and 8-17 in Evansville.
  • The win snapped Evansville seven-game home win streak against the Bulldogs.
  • The win was Drake's first at Evansville since Jan. 13, 2012.
