Drake vs. Missouri State Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES
  • The win was Drake's 15th-straight home win, the 12th longest streak in the nation heading into the day. Drake's last home loss came on Jan. 30, 2019. Drake's women also own a 14-game home win streak, making Drake the only school in the country with men's and women's home win streaks of 14 games or more.
  • Drake is now 11-0 at home this season and 35-5 over the last three seasons
  • Drake was held to just 37.3 percent shooting, its third-lowest percentage in a win this season. Drake has shot 48 percent or better in eight of last 10 games and is 276-of-577 (47.8 percent) during that span.
  • Drake is averaging 35.6 points in the paint per game in the last four games. Drake has now tied or outscored 12 of 19 Divison I foes in the paint
  • Drake led at halftime for the 11th time this season and improved to 11-0 when leading at the half this season and 32-2 under head coach Darian DeVries.
  • Drake is 13-2 this season when scoring 60 or more points and 11-1 when scoring 70 or more points.
  • In Valley wins, the team has held opponents to 56-of-149 shooting (37.5 percent) in the second half.


INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Liam Robbins fouled out with 45.8 seconds left and nine points, snapping his streak of 12-straight games in double-figure scoring. He added six boards and three blocks to his line for the game. He has had three or more blocks in six of the last seven games.
  • With his block with 9:50 left in the contest, Robbins tied the school record for blocks in a season with 56. He currently shares the record with Nick McGlynn's 2017-18 season. His three blocks against Missouri State also moved him into fourth in career blocks at Drake with 91.
  • Roman Penn has had six or more assists 15 games this season and nine straight. He finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. He accounted for eight of the Bulldogs' 15 assists.
  • Jonah Jackson improved to 26-of-62 from the three-point arc in the last eight games. He is now 10-of-23 in the last four outings.
  • Brady Ernst logged a season-high four points. He was 2-of-2 from the floor and played eight minutes.
  • D.J. Wilkins equaled a career-high for three-pointers with four made on eight attempts. He finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.
  • Garrett Sturtz finished with 10 points, his second-straight game in double figures and fifth this season. Sturtz was a perfect 4-of-4 shooting inside the arc and has made nine-straight two-point shots. He added seven rebounds and has averaged 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the last two games.


SERIES NOTES
  • Drake is now 18-43 all-time against Missouri State
  • Drake has won five-straight games against the Bears and six of the last seven meetings. The five-game streak is Drake's longest in the series.
  • During the current five-game streak, Drake's average margin of victory is 6.2 points.
