Drake vs UNI Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES
  • The sellout crowd at the Knapp Center was the 12th men's sellout at the Knapp Center and first since Dec. 20, 2008. The 7,152 fans in attendance tie for the fourth-biggest men's basketball crowd in the venue's history. 
  • Drake fell to 14-2 at the Knapp Center this season. The 14 wins tie for the most by the men's program in the facility's history. The Bulldogs have won 18 of their last 20 home games and are 38-7 at home over the last three seasons.
  • Drake's 43 points were its fewest of the season and fewest since scoring 40 at Wichita State Jan. 25, 2015.
  • Drake shot 30.2 percent, its second-lowest percentage of the season. The Bulldogs are 4-6 this season when shooting below 40 percent.
  • Drake had a season-low five assists. The Bulldogs came into the game averaging 15.6 assists per game in league play. However, the Bulldogs only made 16 shots.
  • Drake faced a 12-rebound deficit, its biggest in MVC action and second biggest of the season. Drake is 5-8 this when outrebounded.
  • Despite the loss, Drake has won 31 of its last 47 games. 
  • The loss marks Drake's first three-game losing skid since the end of the 2018 season.
  • In its 10 MVC losses, Drake is averaging just 10.4 free throws per game and six or fewer in two of them.
  • In its last six losses, Drake opponents are shooting 56-of-117 from three-point range. In its 10 MVC losses, opponents are shooting 88-of-207 … in five of Drake's MVC losses, the opponent has hit 10 or more three-pointers.
  • UNI's Austin Phyfe hauled in 18 rebounds, the most by a Drake opponent this season.
  • UNI became the sixth opponent to lead Drake by 20 or more points this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Roman Penn scored in double-figures for the 15th time in the last 22 games and is averaging 13.1 points per game in those contests. 
  • Penn added one assist to give him 172 this season, the third-most in school history and two away from tying for second.  His one assist marked just the 13th time this season he has been held below six assists in a game this season.
  • Liam Robbins extended his school record in blocks to 90 coming in with four blocks. Those blocks give him 127 in his career to rank third all-time in Drake history and six away from moving into second.
  • Robbins added 10 boards to mark his eighth game with double-figure rebounds this season.
  • Anthony Murphy fouled out with 6:36 left in the contest. It was the second time he has fouled out of a game this season and in his career.
  • Garrett Sturtz was 2-of-4 from the field and is now shooting 45-of-58 (.776) in his last 12 games. He has not missed more than two shots in a game since Jan. 19

SERIES NOTES
  • Drake falls to 27-50 all-time against UNI and a 12-15 against the Panthers in the Knapp Center.
  • The loss snapped Drake's two-game home winning streak in the series and was UNI's first win in the Knapp Center since Jan. 28, 2017.
