Men's Basketball Hosts Bradley Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The Drake University men's basketball team continues its homestand Wednesday night at the Knapp Center, where it won an impressive 85 percent of its games in the last three seasons. Longtime Missouri Valley Conference rival Bradley visits the Knapp Center for an 8 p.m. tipoff on the MVC TV Network.

For most fans, the contest can be viewed on Fox Sports Midwest and online on ESPN+ outside of the Fox Sports Midwest footprint.

Bradley is a game ahead of Drake in the league standings and defeated the Bulldogs earlier this season, 80-72, despite 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting from Liam Robbins. Darrell Brown paced the Braves in that win with 19 points. Brown ranks among the top 10 scorers in the Valley this season.

Garrett Sturtz has led Drake off the bench lately, scoring in double figures in three of the last four games, including a career-high 18 points against SIU. Sturtz is one of just 23 players in the country averaging more than 6.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while playing in less than 24 minutes per game.

Sturtz has helped buoy the Bulldogs' shooting, which has been strong, even in losses. In its five MVC losses, Drake is shooting 45.7 percent (123-of-269).

That shooting has come from an offense that has had eight or fewer turnovers in four of its last six games. In league games, Drake is averaging a league-low 9.9 turnovers per game and boasts the league's top assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.43.

Following Wednesday's game, the Bulldogs return to the road to take on in-state rival UNI Saturday afternoon at the McLeod Center.
