The Drake University men's basketball team heads to UNI for its first meeting with the Panthers this season in Cedar Falls Saturday afternoon. Tipoff at the McLeod Center is scheduled for 3 p.m. on MVC TV affiliates, including Fox Sports Midwest in Iowa.
The Bulldogs make the in-state trip following a dominating 73-60 win at home over Bradley.
Liam Robbins scored a career-high 29 points in the win, and the sophomore is averaging 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in his last three outings.
He has helped the Bulldogs outrebound three-straight opponents while outscoring Drake's last two opponents in the paint by a 62-38 margin.
Drake shot 50 percent Wednesday, its third-best shooting performance in a Valley game this season and has shot 46 percent or better in three-straight games.
Drake has one Valley road win this season as it travels to the McLeod Center, where the Panthers are 12-0 this season. The Panthers are receiving votes in both top 25 polls and have won four-straight games to sit at 20-3 overall and 9-2 in the league.
Three Panthers, led by A.J. Green's 19.3 points per game, average in double figures for an offense that is scoring more than 76 points per game this season. That offense has helped UNI outscore its last three opponents by an average of 17.7 points per game.
Following Saturday's contest, the Bulldogs travel to Missouri State next to face the Bears Feb. 12. Earlier this season, Drake defeated MSU, 71-69, at home.
