DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's tennis team returns home to host the Iowa Hawkeyes after a challenging three weeks away from the Roger Knapp Tennis Center. Action between Drake and Iowa is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Bulldogs have faced a grueling non-conference schedule to this point, facing high-powered opponents on their home turf or at neutral sites. In its last match, Drake fell at Oregon, 4-0, on Sunday.
Scouting Iowa
The Hawkeyes (4-1) have won four duals in a row after dropping their opening match of the season to Texas Tech, 4-3. Drake and Iowa have faced one common opponent this season in Western Michigan. Both teams defeated the Broncos, 4-3.
Kareem Allaf, a redshirt senior from Dubai, leads the charge for the Hawkeyes. Allaf has posted a 3-1 record at No. 1 singles and a 1-0 mark in No. 2 singles.
