Drake vs. Bradley MVC Tournament Postgame Notes

TOURNAMENT NOTES

Drake falls to 20-41 all-time in MVC Tournament and 3-7 as the No. 8 seed.
Drake's 2-1 record at the MVC Tournament marked the second time Drake has won two or more games in the event. The 2008 team won three games to claim the tournament title.
Drake's semifinal appearance was the eighth in program history. Drake is 1-7 in MVC Tournament semifinal games.
Drake advanced to the semifinal by becoming the first No. 8 seed to defeat a No. 1 seed in the MVC Tournament with its quarterfinal win over UNI.

TEAM NOTES

Drake's 20 wins are the seventh-most in program history and mark 20 wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1971 and third time in program history.
Drake's 44 wins in the last two seasons are the fourth-most in a two-year span in program history.
With four blocked shots, Drake set the single-season school record for blocked shots at 132, surpassing the previous record of 130 set last year.
Bradley became the first opponent in the last six games to score at or above its season average against the Bulldogs.
Drake made five three-pointers to give it 237 three-pointers this season, the eighth-most in a season in school history.
Drake fell to 4-2 in neutral-site games this season.
Drake fell to 4-10 when trailing at halftime. Drake led at halftime in its first two MVC Tournament games.
Drake held a 34-33 advantage in rebounding and is now 14-6 when outrebounding its opponent. Drake outrebounded all three MVC Tournament foes this week.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

Liam Robbins collected his seventh double-double of the season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Has scored in double-figures in three-straight games, six of the last seven and in 26 games this season.
Robbins' rebound total matched a career-high. He has had 12 rebounds four times in his career.
Robbins also blocked two shots to move into No. 2 on school career blocked shot list at 134, passing Aliou Keita who had 133 from 2004-07. Robbins also improved his school single-season record to 99 a mark that also ranks as the third-most in a season in MVC history.
In three games against Bradley this season, Robbins averaged 23.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 28-of-43 (.651) from the field and 27-of-38 (.710) from two-point range.
Roman Penn added 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists. He finished Arch Madness with 20 total assists in three games to just nine turnovers. He has had six or more assists in 21 games this season.
D.J. Wilkins scored 14 points, his highest output since Feb. 8. He scored five total points in the first two games of the MVC Tournament.
Anthony Murphy finished one point and one rebound shy of his second double-double of the season and third career double-double at the MVC Tournament with nine points and nine rebounds. In the senior's five career games at Arch Madness, he averaged 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.
