The Drake University men's basketball team is set to host a Blue and White scrimmage, in front of fans, at the Knapp Center on Thursday Oct. 21 with a 6 p.m. start time.
The event will allow the Bulldogs to show their skills in tune up ahead of the 2021-22 season and is free to the public. The doors will open 5 p.m. and the scrimmage will begin an hour later at 6 p.m.. Parking will be available in the Tennis Center and Fine Arts lots.
Doors to the Knapp Center will open at 5:00, and activities for families will be available on the track level including a basketball shot inflatable, sign-making, dress like a Bulldog, and more. Concessions, including the beer garden, will be available for fans to enjoy snacks and beverages.
Per Drake University policy, all guests at the Knapp Center are required to wear a face covering. Please review this policy prior to your arrival to campus.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 26-5 campaign that saw the program earn its first NCAA Tournament win in 50 years after receiving an at-large selection. The squad returns a bevy of talent from a year ago including First Team All-MVC recipient

ShanQuan Hemphill. Fans will also get their first look at grad-transfer
Ayo Akinwole, as well as freshmen
Conor Enright and
Tucker DeVries. DeVries was the 2021 Iowa Mr. Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year.
Darian DeVries, the 2020 MVC Coach of the Year, also welcomes a new assistant to his staff with the addition of Achoki "AC" Moikubu, to compliment returning assistant coaches
Marty Richter and
Matt Gatens.
Season tickets for Drake men's basketball are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting DrakeTix.com or calling 515-271-3647. Drake will start the season on Thursday, Nov. 4 by welcoming Drury to the Knapp Center for an exhibition game.
