Abby Couch, a starting midfielder, scored the Bears lone goal in the 3-1 loss.
Missouri State has been out-scored by opponents 21-14 this season and have also been out-shot 215-156.
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 12-6-3, but lost the two team's last two match-ups 1-0.
After playing in Springfield, Drake returns to Des Moines to take on UNI in its season finale on October 28.
