The Drake University women's soccer team lost to Missouri State, 3-2, Saturday afternoon in double overtime. The game was delayed almost three hours due to severe storms in the Springfield area.

Rachel Panther scored in the 13
th minute after a pass from senior
Libby Helverson, to give the Bulldogs the early lead, 1-0. Panther's goal was her second this season.
In the 33
rd minute, Missouri State drew a foul in Drake's goal box, allowing them a penalty kick. Grace O'Keefe took the PK for the Bears and scored to tie the game 1-1.
Less than two minutes after tying the match, Kaeli Benedict scored for the Bears. Abby Couch and Jacqueline Baetz were credited with the assists.
Drake went into halftime trailing 2-1. But in the 63
rd minute, Helverson found the net behind Missouri State keeper Katherine Montgomery to tie the match, 2-2.
Both teams were unable to score to secure the win before the clock hit 90 minutes, sending the match into its first overtime which also went scoreless.
Five minutes into the second overtime, Kaeli Benedict scored off a pass from Abby Couch to record the golden goal.
The Bulldogs were outshot by the Bears 19-6 and received five corner kicks compared to Missouri State's six.
The Bulldogs return home to Des Moines for their final match of the regular season against UNI on Thursday Oct. 28.
