The Drake University men's basketball team has signed one prep standout for the 2022-2023 season, as announced by head coach Darian DeVries Wednesday morning.
 
Joining the Bulldogs will be Will Lovings-Watts from Jeffersonville, Ind. Lovings-Watt is a 6-5 wing and the second-nationally ranked recruit to commit to Drake under head coach DeVries.  He also joins a number of current players that come from Indiana.
 
Ranking in the top 220 nationally for the 2022 recruiting class, Lovings-Watts ranks 10^th in Indiana and in the top 30 for his position nationally, according to 247Sports.
 
DeVries said, "We are excited to have Will join our program! He will fit in great in our up-tempo style on offense and his ability to be disruptive on defense. He's very competitive and our fans are going to enjoy watching him play."
 
Lovings-Watts averaged 16.1 points and 6.1 points during his junior season, where he earned a sectional title. He also shot 59 percent from the field and 48 percent from the arc.
