MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Drake University women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback Friday afternoon to begin its two-match road trip in Kansas.
 
The Bulldogs dropped the doubles point for the first time this season to open the match.
 
In singles action, the Bulldogs were swept but Maria Tartarnikova and Ines Stepani each won a set in their match before falling.
 
Drake continues its Sunflower State road trip Saturday at 1 p.m. against former Missouri Valley Conference rival Wichita State.
