Drake vs. Bradley Postgame Notes - Feb. 26

TEAM NOTES
  • Drake's 24th win ties the 2018-19 championship team for the third-most in program history. The 24-2 record equals the 2008-07 team for the best record in program history through 26 games.
  • Drake's 15th MVC win equals the school record for league wins with the 2007-08 championship team.
  • Drake improved to 9-1 in road games this season and 18-18 on the road under head coach Darian DeVries.
  • Drake's nine road wins are the third-most in program history. The school record is 10 set by the 2007-08 and 1939-40 teams.
  • Drake shot 52.7 percent from the floor (29-55), marking the 15th time the Bulldogs had shot better than 50 percent this season including a fourth straight game.
  • Drake made 12 three-point baskets, marking the sixth game this season in which it had made 10 or more treys, including the first time on the road.
  • Drake enjoyed its 10th double-digit halftime lead as well as its third away from home this season and first on the road in Valley play.
  • Drake's 41 first-half points tied for its third-most in an MVC game this season and the 20th time the Bulldogs have led at half. Drake has won 19 of those games.
  • Drake improved to 30-0 under third-year coach Darian DeVries, including 14-0 this season, when scoring 80 or more points in a game.
  • Drake moved to 16-0 when DJ Wilkins made two or more three-point baskets in a game. He finished with four treys.
  • Drake is 10-0 when Tremell Murphy has multiple three-point baskets. He had two tonight.
  • Drake also is 9-0 when Joseph Yesufu makes two or more treys in a game. He finished with four three-point baskets.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Darnell Brodie scored a career-high 21 points, marking his first double-figure game in the last five outings. It also was his eighth double-digit scoring game this season, including sixth in MVC play. It was his third double-double of the season and his career.
  • Tremell Murphy collected his fourth career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
  • DJ Wilkins, who scored 16 points, made four three-point baskets, marking his 11th game with three or more three-pointers and the most since Jan. 3 against Southern Illinois when he also made four treys.
  • Wilkins also added five assists, his fourth game this season with five or more assists.
  • Joseph Yesufu added 16 points - his fourth straight game with 16 or more points and his 12th double-figure scoring game of the season. He has scored 104 points in his last four games.
  • Yesufu also made four three-point baskets, his fourth straight game with four or more treys.
  • Garrett Sturtz enjoyed his 10th double-figure scoring game of the season with 11 points.

SERIES NOTES
  • Drake's series record against Bradley moved to 68-89 including 22-52 in Peoria and 10-29 in Carver Arena.
  • This was Drake's first win in Peoria since claiming a 69-52 victory Jan. 16, 2019.
