DES MOINES, IOWA – The Drake men's soccer team returns to Drake Stadium Thursday March 18 to take on Loyola for the second time this season. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. and broadcast on ESPN+.
In their first meeting, the two sides went scoreless in a double-overtime draw. Freshman
Jaffer Murphy registered two shots on goal for the Bulldogs, but was unable to get past Rambler keeper Marcel Kampman.
The Bulldogs (1-1-1) are returning home after a 2-0 win over Bradley (March 9). Freshman

Istvan Wilhelms scored in the final 10 minutes of play to earn the road win while the defense recorded its second shutout of the season.
Loyola (3-1-2) is on a two-game winning streak after beating both Evansville (March 9) and Bradley (March 14) by 2-0 margins. Tyler Briggs and Fabian Becerra scored for the Ramblers against Bradley. Becerra earned Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week March 15 for scoring against the two opponents.
In their history, the Ramblers and Bulldogs have a record of 5-5-6. In Des Moines, Drake holds a 3-2-1 record with Loyola.
After taking on the Ramblers, the Bulldogs head to Springfield, Mo. to take on Missouri State on March 22.
