The Drake University women's tennis team opened up its weekend homestand with a convincing 6-1 win over Creighton Saturday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
 
The Bulldogs (6-4) had already won the match before Creighton scratched out its lone point at No. 5 singles.
 
Drake's doubles team of Liza Petushkov and Maria Tatarnikova secured the doubles point at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4 win after Darinka Stepan and Ines Stephani won at No. 3 doubles, 6-2, to put Drake up 1-0 for the match.
 
Ines Stephani added to that tally with a 6-2, 6-2 rout at No. 4 singles and Petushkova put Drake up 3-0 with a 6-1, 7-6 win at No. 1.
 
Kelsey Neville then sealed the win with her 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 6 to give the Bulldogs their sixth win of the year.
 
Maria Tartarnikova and Daria Walczak also earned three-set singles wins on the afternoon to give the Bulldogs the final two points of the match.
 
Drake remains home to host Missouri Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
