The Drake women's soccer team returns to Drake Stadium Sunday March 28 to take on Evansville. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The match is the first for the Bulldogs in more than a week due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Bulldogs (1-2-2) are 13-10-1 against the Aces (1-1-2) in their history. Drake won two of the last four meetings.
In its last match, Drake earned a 1-1 draw against Valparaiso on March 19. Junior
Alison Walls scored off a penalty kick for the Bulldogs. Walls is second on the team in shots this season with eight.
In that draw against Valpo, senior goalkeeper
Kelsie Stone recorded 14 saves to tie a school record and earn the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Evansville also took on Valpo (March 24) in its last match, ending in a 0-0 draw. The Aces recorded 10 shots and one shot on goal.
Emily Ormson is the only Ace to score a goal this season and tallies the most shots taken with seven.
After taking on Evansville, the Bulldogs remain at home at Drake Stadium Wed. March 31 to play Missouri State. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
