Women’s Soccer to Take on Missouri State

The Drake women's soccer team returns to Drake Stadium for the final time this season to take on Missouri State Wednesday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m and will be broadcasted on ESPN+. 

The Bulldogs improved to 2-2-2 after beating Evansville 1-0 Sunday night. Senior Hannah Bormann scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs, for her seventh career goal.  

Senior goalkeeper Kelsie Stone faced 10 shots and recorded two saves in the match. Stone currently leads the conference for saves per game with an average of 5.50. Earlier this season she matched a school record with 14 stops in a game. 

Missouri State (2-6-2) lost to Indiana State, 1-0, in its last match. The Bears tallied 12 shots and seven on goal in the loss. 

Kate Schoeder currently leads the Bears with 14 shots this season with one goal.  

After its matchup with Missouri State, Drake heads to Cedar Falls to take on UNI on April 7. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
