Drake Heads East To Face The Ramblers

The Drake women's soccer team heads to Loves Park, Ill., to take on the Loyola Ramblers Friday March 5, for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Bulldogs currently sit with a 6-7-3 history with the Ramblers. In their past 10 matches, the Bulldogs have a 3-5-2 record against their Missouri Valley Conference rival.

The Bulldogs continue their road trip after losing 1-0 at Indiana State on Feb. 28. Freshman Emma Nagel entered the game and two minutes later registered a shot on goal and forced a save. In the last six minutes of the match, Nagel registered her second shot on goal.

Drake goalkeeper Kelsie Stone registered four saves against the Ramblers, putting her career total at 185 and sitting at fourth place in the history books.

The Ramblers are returning home after a double overtime draw against Missouri State on Feb. 27. Loyola registered nine shots on goal, while holding Missouri State at no shots on goal.

After taking on the Ramblers, the Bulldogs will return home to take on Illinois State March 10 at Drake Stadium.
