Women’s Soccer Heads to UNI

The Drake women's soccer team heads northeast to take on UNI Wednesday, April 7 in Cedar Falls. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Drake (2-3-2) lost to Missouri State, 1-0, in its last match. Senior Hannah Bormann was the only Bulldog to register a shot on goal. Bormann tallied two shots and two shots on goal in her 90 minutes on the pitch.

Senior keeper Kelsie Stone faced 10 shots and saved three.

UNI (3-4-2) lost to Indiana State, 2-0, in its last match. The Panthers registered six shots and three shots on goal. Ann Forsyth, Paige Siren, and Johnnie Hill were the only three to register a shot on goal.

In the in-state rivals' history, Drake leads the all-time series 11-2-4. The Bulldogs have won three of its last four meetings with the Panthers. UNI has a record of 0-5-3 while playing Drake in Cedar Falls.

A win for Drake could claim a spot in the six-team MVC tournament, with play starting April 10. A loss or draw would eliminate the Bulldogs from the tournament field.
