Men’s Soccer Heads to Loyola

The Drake men's soccer team will hit the road to take on Loyola on Saturday Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN3.
 
The Bulldogs won their conference opener against Bradley, 2-1. Senior forward Juan Louis earned the honor of Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his game-winning penalty-kick goal against Braves.
 
Louis leads the Bulldogs with three goals, six points, nine shots on goal, 16 shots, and two game-winning goals.
 
Loyola tied Evansville 0-0 in double overtime in their last match.
 
MVC Conference Player and Midfielder of the Year, Billy Hency, returns to the pitch for the Ramblers this season. He currently leads Loyola with four goals and eight points.

The Ramblers registered 19 shots and eight on goal against Evansville. Loyola has out-shot opponents 73-46 this season. 
 
The Bulldogs and Ramblers have an all-time series of 6-6-6. The Ramblers won the last match up 4-1 when they beat the Bulldogs in the MVC tournament semi-finals last season.

Drake remains on the road after taking on Loyola. The Bulldogs will head to Springfield, MO. to take on Missouri State on Wednesday Sept. 29.
