Drake University women's basketball starting guard, Megan Meyer, earned Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference on Monday Jan. 31. 

 Meyer recorded a career night in the Bulldogs loss to Illinois State on Saturday. The junior guard tallied 22 points, 18 of which came from beyond the arc to record a career high six made three-pointers. 

Meyer opened up scoring for the Bulldogs in Redbird Arena when she hit back to back shots from beyond the arc to give Drake a 6-0 lead. 

She also tallied nine points, four rebounds, and two steals on Thursday evening in the Bulldogs win over Bradley. 

The Bulldogs return to the Knapp Center Friday at 6pm to host Valparaiso for the annual Pink Game.
