DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's basketball program hosted its annual media day on Monday afternoon (10/24) in the Shivers Basketball Practice Facility.
 
The day began with a preview of the 2022-23 season by Suzie Glazer Burt Head Women's Basketball Coach Allison Pohlman. The Bulldogs return four starters including 2022-23 Preseason All-MVC forward Grace Berg and 2022-23 Preseason All-MVC guard and defending MVC Newcomer of the Year Megan Meyer. Drake also brings back sophomores Katie Dinnebier and Anna Miller, both members of the 2021-22 MVC All-Freshman Team.
 
The entire Drake women's basketball team was available to meet with members of local media to recap an eventful summer and a promising 2022-23 campaign.
 
The Bulldogs will host Northwest Missouri State this Sunday, Oct. 30 for the first hoops action in the newly renovated Knapp Center. Drake's contest with the Bearcats will tip at 2 p.m. Drake will begin the 2022-23 regular season on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. with another home game against Green Bay.
