DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's golf head coach Matt Lewis has welcomed two impressive signees from the Chicagoland area to the team in Emil Riegger and Dylan Drogemuller.
 
Riegger is a Hinsdale, Ill., native where he has been a standout for Hinsdale Central. He shot a two-round score of 147 to place third at the IHSA Class 3A Tournament this past fall. Riegger averaged 70.3 per 18-hole round en route to All-State honors his senior year. He led Hinsdale Central to a runner-up team finish in the IHSA Class 3A Tournament as the Red Devils won sectional, regional and conference titles in 2022. As a junior, Riegger tied for 18^th at state after he won the individual titles for conference as well as the sectional and regional rounds.
 
Drogemuller hails from Frankfort, Ill., where he has been a leader at Lincoln-Way East. He earned medalist honors at the conference tournament, qualified for the IHSA Class 3A Tournament and picked up All-Region recognition. Drogemuller averaged 71.4 per 18-hole round and had an average of 36 per nine holes in all of his senior year and junior year high school regular season events.
 
Both Riegger and Drogemuller will join the Bulldog men's golf squad for the fall 2023 campaign.
