ST. LOUIS – Drake indoor track athlete Gal Arad earned Missouri Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week honors; the league announced on Tuesday (Feb. 15).
 
Arad won the 200 meter dash at the Iowa State Classic on Friday (Feb. 11) with a time of 21.23 to break the Israel national indoor 200 meter dash record set in 1998. His 200 meter dash time now leads the MVC and ranks 73rd in the nation.
 
Drake track & field is now preparing for the MVC Indoor Championships to be held in Chicago from Feb. 27-Feb. 28.
