The Drake University women's basketball team heads to Indiana for its final road trip of the regular season. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play Evansville on Thursday March 3 at 6pm and Indiana State Saturday March 5 at 12pm.
The 15-12, 7-9 Bulldogs are heading east on a three game winning streak. The Bulldogs topped Illinois State 104-62 and then defeated Bradley 77-71.
Junior
Megan Meyer earned Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for her performance against the two teams. She averaged 20 points over the weekend, tying a career high 22 points with six made three pointers against Bradley.
Forwards
Grace Berg and
Maggie Bair helped the Bulldogs in their wins over the two teams, as both scored in double digits.
The Bulldogs topped Evansville earlier this season, but fell to Indiana State.
In the first meeting with the Aces, the Bulldogs had six people score in double digits, including three who recorded a double-double.
Evansville (8-19, 2-14) will host the Bulldogs on a four game losing streak, most recently falling to Missouri State and SIU.
Je'Naiya Davis leads the Aces in scoring as she averaged 15.7 points per game.
Indiana State (10-17, 5-11) will host the Bulldogs on an eight game losing streak, also falling to SIU and Missouri State most recently.
Del'Janae Williams leads the Sycamores with 12.6 points per game this season.
After their road trip to Indiana, the Bulldogs will then head to Moline for Hoops in the Heartland.
