OMAHA, Nebraska -- The Drake Univeristy men's tennis team defeated North Dakota for the second time this season, to advance to the Summit League Championship on Sunday April 23.
The Bulldogs opened the evening with a 1-0 lead after winning two doubles matches.
Oliver Johansson and
Matt Clegg won on court two 6-4.
Matija Matic and
Reid Jarvis defeated Riley Odell and Dylan Leeman on court three, 6-2, to secure the first point.
Johansson picked up the Bulldogs second point on court four, defeating Cian McDonnell 6-1, 6-1.
Jeremy Schifris secured Drake's third point when he won on court two.
North Dakota picked up its only point of the evening on court six.
Evan Fragistas clinched the fourth point and overall win for Drake when he won on court three, 6-3, 6-4.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday April 23 at 3pm in the Miracle Hill Tennis Center in Omaha, Neb.
