Drake Athletics Department Takes Home Two Best of The Valley Awards

The Drake Athletics Department was awarded Best New Marketing Idea and Social Media Campaign in the Missouri Valley Conference.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Drake University Athletics Marketing Department was recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference with two "Best in the Valley" awards on Monday, July 25. 

Drake Athletics won Best Social Media Campaign for executing the plan for #BackOnTrack during the promotion of the 2022 Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom.

Best New Idea also went to Drake Athletics Department for the Drake Hoops Fest in the fall of 2021 held on Court Avenue in Des Moines to promote the upcoming basketball season.

This is the fourth consecutive year Drake has been recognized for "Best in the Valley." Previous awards include the 50th Anniversary of the 1969 Men's Final Four Team, the first "Des Moines' Hometown Team Weekend," and the Virtual Drake Relays Social Media Campaign.
