NEWTON, Kan. -- The
Drake men's golf team had its top three golfers of the tournament deliver a strong showing to wrap up the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational at Sand Creek Station Golf Course (Par 72 | 7,182 yards) on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The Bulldogs (292-286-294--872) finished 12th as a team while host Wichita State (285-271-285--841) won the event.
Riegger (70-71-72--213) was at or below par for all three rounds of the tournament to come in a tie for 17th place while sinking 11 total birdies.
Jack Dumas (74-72-73--219) and
Nikko Ganas (75-72-72--219) both turned in solid third round scores. Dumas was tied for the most pars of the tournament (41).
Silvester Tan (79-71-77--227) and
Jake Weissenburger (73-75-83--231) rounded out the Bulldog lineup.
Drake men's golf will play its final tournament of the fall season Oct. 22-24 at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.
