Drake Stadium will once again host the Drake Road Races on Sunday, April 21, 2024, where an anticipated 3,000 athletes will finish their race.
 
Registration for the 56th edition of the Drake Road Races is now open. Today and tomorrow, registration is at the lowest prices of the year, with the half marathon set for $55.00, the 10k at $35 and the 5k at $25. These prices are valid until Tuesday, October 17 at 11:59 PM. Included in the registration for all three race distances are a premium apparel item, a commemorative finisher's medal, race day photos and a ticket to the Drake Relays presented by Xtream Distance Carnival on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

"It has become an annual tradition for Drake Road Races registration to start in October and already today we have had hundreds register to join us for 2024," Franklin P. Johnson Director of the Drake Relays, Blake Boldon said. "Our entire team is eager to host thousands of Drake Road Races participants, an event where we honor the achievements of athletes of all ages and abilities, just as we have for more than 113 years with the Drake Relays."

America's Athletic Classic begins with the Drake Road Races on Sunday, April 21, 2024, and every athlete that crosses the finish line in Drake Stadium will add their name to the same list of track and field legends who have competed in Drake Stadium.

Also in 2024, the Relays Wellness Challenge will continue at the 56th Annual Drake Road Races providing an opportunity for employees at Iowa-based companies to maintain their health and fitness goals. Created in 2019, the 2023 Relays Wellness Challenge saw more than 40 companies and nearly 1,500 employees participate in the incentive-based wellness competition where points are awarded based on participation in the Drake Road Races and the Grand Blue Mile.
