PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Lucas Scherf racked up another top-20 performance as the Drake men's golf team concluded play at the GCU Golf Course as part of the GCU Invitational on Tuesday, March 14.
"Lucas had another solid tournament," head coach
Matt Lewis said. "Overall, I think there are many positives to take away from this week. We seem to get two-to-three good scores per round and really could add a solid fourth score."
The Bulldogs (290-287-290-867) finished ninth in the team standings while TCU (270-280-285-835) won the event by one stroke over Grand Canyon and North Dakota State.
Scherf (71-69-73-213) wound up in a tie for 19th overall.
Jack Dumas (72-73--71-216) fired his lowest round of the tournament finishing tied for 34th.
Nikko Ganas (74-70-74-218) wrapped up with another 18-hole round of 74.
Silvester Tan (73-78-72-223) and
Nick Pittman (75-75-78-228) rounded out the Drake lineup.
The Bulldogs are back in action next week at the Missouri State Intercollegiate March 20-21.
