INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Blake Boldon, the Franklin P. Johnson Director of the Drake Relays and director of Drake track & field and cross country, has been selected by USA Track & Field as the event manager for the World Athletics Championships August 19-27 in Budapest. Hungary. Boldon will also serve as the men's coach at the World Athletics Road Running Championships on September 30 in Riga, Latvia.
 
"I am honored to be selected for the Team USATF staff at both the World Athletics Championships in Budapest and the World Athletics Road Championships in Riga," Boldon said. "I'm eager to support our nation's top athletes in this way while they take on the world's best."
 
Boldon has been the Franklin P. Johnson Director of the Drake Relays since 2016. Prior to entering event administration, Boldon has enjoyed successful coaching tenures at Penn, UAB and Iowa State.
