Zoey Mahoney earned MVC Freshman of the Week honors, the league announced on Sept. 12.
-On Thursday (Sept. 7) in a 1-1 draw versus St. Thomas, Ford's 11 saves were the most in a single game by a Drake goalkeeper and the first double-digit save game for the Bulldogs since
Kelsie Stone set a program record with 18 saves on Oct. 3, 2021 versus Loyola.
-The Bulldogs will play a total of five Summit League opponents on their non-conference slate this season having already played South Dakota State and North Dakota State, St. Thomas and Omaha with South Dakota remaining on the schedule.

Scouting South Dakota
The
Coyotes are 2-2-3 this season coming off a 3-1 loss to UNI on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Senior forward Ashby Johnston is South Dakota's leading scorer with four goals and two assists. Fifth-year forward Shaylee Gailus has added three goals and a pair of assists. Senior goalkeeper Caroline Lewis has stopped 41 shots with a .788 save percentage.
Michael Thomas has been the head coach of the USD program for six seasons with a 42-38-17 overall record.
Series History vs. South Dakota
The Bulldogs have not defeated South Dakota since Sept. 2, 2016 (1-0 in Des Moines) but lead the all-time series 7-4-1 after a 2-2 tie at South Dakota last season on Sept. 8, 2022.
Scouting UNI
UNI secured its first-ever undefeated record through non-conference play with a mark of 7-0-1, with the only draw occurring at Western Illinois on Aug. 24. The Panthers are tied for 16
th in the country in scoring offense so far this season.
Sophomore Macy Smith paces the Panthers with five goals while junior Maddie Eastus has contributed four goals and two assists. Senior Caitlin Richards has made 23 saves this season with a .793 save percentage.
Bruce Erickson is in his seventh season at the helm with a record of 50-43-18 at UNI. Erickson is familiar with the MVC, having served as the head coach at Creighton from 1999-2015.
Series History vs. UNI
Drake leads the head-to-head series, 13-5-5 after the two teams played to a 1-1 draw on Oct. 6, 2022 in Cedar Falls.
