The Basics
The Drake women's soccer team takes to the road for the final time in the 2024 regular season with just three games remaining on the schedule. The Bulldogs are set to square off against UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Oct. 20 and then they will head over to Carbondale, Illinois for a matchup with Southern Illinois on Oct. 24.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
Drake has climbed up the table in the MVC standings as it currently sits in third place with a conference record of 4-2-1. Overall, the Bulldogs are 5-6-5 on the season and are riding a three-game unbeaten streak ahead of their match with UNI. Over its last three contests, Drake has posted shutouts against Belmont (1-0) and UIC (2-0) and tied against Evansville (1-1).

Scouting UNI
The Panthers sit just a couple of spots behind the Bulldogs in the conference standings in fifth place with a 3-2-2 MVC record. Overall, UNI posts a record of 8-4-3 and is unbeaten in their last five matches with three wins and two draws over that stretch. During their five-match unbeaten streak, the Panthers have outscored opponents by a mark of 10-2.
The in-state rivalry between the Bulldogs and the Panthers sees Drake leading in all-time matchups at 14-5-5. Drake has was won three of the last four over UNI with the other result being a draw and has not lost to UNI since the spring season of 2021.

Scouting Southern Illinois
The Salukis sit in eighth place in the MVC table at 2-2-3 with nine points after falling in their previous two matches against UNI and Missouri State. SIU still posts a winning record in 2024 at 6-4-5, however. Before the Bulldogs come to town, the Salukis will head to the Music City to take on Belmont.
Drake and SIU have only faced each other six times previously, but the Bulldogs have yet to lose against the Salukis with an all-time series record of 4-0-2. In the past four contests Drake has claimed two wins to go along with a pair of draws.
