The Drake women's soccer team is set to close out the 2024 regular season with its final home match. The Bulldogs welcome Murray State to Des Moines on Sunday, Oct. 27 with kickoff from Mediacom Stadium slated for 12 p.m.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
MVC Tournament seeding is still to be determined, but the Bulldogs currently sit in sole possession of the No. 3 seed after defeating Southern Illinois, 2-1, on Thursday night. Drake has won four consecutive matches down the stretch and posts an overall record of 7-6-5 with a 6-2-1 conference mark giving it 19 points in the MVC table. The Bulldogs sit just one point behind UIC, who has 20 points at 6-2-2. Drake is led by junior forward

Scouting Murray State
The Racers come to Des Moines after falling in their last match on Thursday to UNI, 3-1. Murray State has gone 1-5-3 in MVC play as it's set to put a bookend on its 2024 season. Overall, Murray State owns a record of 5-8-4 and is 2-5-2 in away matches.
In the limited history between Drake and Murray State, the two squads are deadlocked at 2-2. Last season the Bulldogs got the better of the Racers winning the match in Kentucky by a final score of 2-1.
