Des Moines, IA - The Bulldogs hosted their second fall season tournament on Saturday, and Ben Johnson won the Main Draw. Iowa Central Community College and Grandview competed against Drake in the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
 
Each Bulldog won their first-round main draw match. Christian Winstead shutout Grandview's Diego Castillo 6-0, 6-0, Cowen Lau defeated Iowa Central Community College's Mariano Orsini Rodriguez 6-3, 2-6, 15-13, Jose Alessandro Hernandez defeated Iowa Central Community College's Devin Devill 6-0, 6-1, Will Ecklund defeated Iowa Central Community College's  Gabriel Gulliot and Ben Johnson defeated Iowa Central Community College's Jace Hannes in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.
 
Winstead, Hernandez and Johnson advanced in straight sets in the second round, but Ecklund lost to Joao Teixeria from Iowa Central Community College. Teammates Winstead and Hernandez battled in the semifinals, and Winstead advanced with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Johnson won a tight match against Teixeria 6-1, 5-7, 10-8 to advance to the finals.
 
The final match was a showdown between fellow Bulldogs Johnson and Winstead, which was a tight match. Johnson won the first set 6-1, but Winstead took set two 7-5. Johnson prevailed in the third set, winning 10-8 in the tournament final against his teammate.
