Dinnebier Tabbed MVC Player of the Week for Second Time this Season

Senior leader posts eighth career double-double to highlight conference's best

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake point guard Katie Dinnebier has earned her second Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week Award of the season, the league announced today.
 
Dinnebier led Drake in its return to the Knapp Center as the Bulldogs took down North Dakota last week. Dinnebier posted her eighth career double-double, and second in as many games, with 16 points and 13 assists against the Fighting Hawks. Her baker's dozen distributions were just one shy of tying her career best. Her offensive output included 5-of-11 shooting with all five makes coming from behind the 3-point line and in just 28 minutes of action. She is one of five players in Division I to contribute 13-or-more assists in a game this season, and the only player to do it twice. Dinnebier currently leads the nation with an average of 7.3 assists per game while scoring just over 18 points per contest.
