FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Drake men's tennis dropped their Wednesday evening match 4-1 against Arkansas. Drake lost the doubles point and then fell in three singles matches.

Ben Lott said. "We lost
Oliver Johansson in the warm-up to illness and had to shift our line-up at the last minute. In spite of that, we had chances to close out a couple of doubles courts and were a few points away from being up five first sets in singles. I am very encouraged by the way we fought tonight against a very strong program in Arkansas. We have a couple of days now until Oklahoma State which we will use to get healthy and ready to compete again."

Matija Matic and
Ben Johnson lost to Jared Horwood and Melvin Manuel 6-1 to begin the day.
Olle Sonesson Lidholt and
Jeremy Schifris were defeated 7-5 by Connor Smilie and Jake Sweeney, giving the doubles point to Arkansas.
Markus Bolin and
Matt Clegg's match went unfinished at a 6-5 score, with the Bulldog duo in the lead.
Stefanos Savva defeated Clegg in straight sets to open singles play. Sonesson Lidholt dropped the second singles match against Alan Sau Franco.
Bolin earned the lone Bulldog point with a commanding straight sets victory (6-1, 6-4) over Benedikt Emesz.
Down 3-1, Matic faced down No. 107-ranked Manuel. Manuel defeated Matic to cap off the Razorbacks' victory. Schifris and
Aaron Dawson's matches went unfinished.
