DES MOINES, Iowa – Former Drake women's soccer defender Laura Riesenbeck has signed a contract to join SK Sturm Graz in Austria's Women's ÖFB Frauen Bundesliga.

Riesenbeck completed her collegiate career in Des Moines for the Bulldogs last season earning All-Missouri Valley Conference Third Team honors. She logged a team-high 1,619 minutes starting all 20 games and playing the full 90 minutes in eight contests. In addition to incredible defense, Riesenbeck provided three assists throughout the 2023 season while helping Drake to an MVC regular season title.
 
Prior to Drake, Riesenbeck was a three-time NAIA All-American at Central Methodist.

SK Sturm Graz is located in Graz, Styria and is the second-largest city in Austria. The second half of its season is scheduled to begin on March 10.
