The Basics
The Drake women's soccer team will begin a three-game road trip with a tour of the Summit League. The Bulldogs will travel to South Dakota (Aug. 29) and Omaha (Sep. 1) with sights set on their first win of the year.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
Drake finished off a three-game homestand in their two most recent tilts. The Bulldogs tied with Iowa State, 1-1, before dropping a 5-3 result to Butler. Drake and Butler scored their eight-combined goals in the first 45 minutes. Still seeking their first victory, Drake has played four matches without a W for the first time since starting 0-4 in 2019.

Scouting South Dakota
South Dakota enters the week at even .500 with a 1-1-1 record so far this season. The Coyotes drew in their opener at UNI (Aug. 15) before shutting out NAIA foe Morningside, 5-0 (Aug. 18). Most recently, the Coyotes suffered their first loss of the season to Eastern Washington at home (Aug. 25).
Drake is 7-5-1 all-time vs. South Dakota dating back to 2008. The Bulldogs are 0-4-1 in their last five vs. South Dakota, including a loss and tie in Vermillion.

Scouting Omaha
Omaha brings a 2-0-2 record into the weekend ahead of this Sunday's matchup with Drake. The Mavericks also tied their first match 1-1 vs. SIU (Aug. 15) before winning two consecutive against Lindenwood (Aug. 18) at home and at Southern Utah (Aug. 22). Most recently, Omaha played to a scoreless draw at Utah Tech (Aug. 25). The Mavericks will visit Nebraska on Thursday before returning home to host the Dogs.
The all-time series between Drake and Omaha, which dates to 2003, is tied 4-4. The Bulldogs won the most recent bout last season after two-straight Maverick W's.
