The Basics
The Drake women's soccer team returns home to Mediacom Stadium on Saturday evening with a match against in-state rival, UNI. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. and will be part of a doubleheader with the men's soccer team, who is slated to take on Bowling Green at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
The Bulldogs currently sit atop the MVC standings with just four games remaining in the regular season with a record of 3-1-1. Drake suffered its first league loss of the season last weekend on the road at UIC, 1-0. Despite outshooting the Flames, 18-7, Drake was shutout for just the second time this season. Scouting UNI
The Panthers make the trek over to Des Moines carrying an overall record of 4-5-3 and post a league record of 1-2-2, which places them tied for seventh in the league standings. In its last time out, UNI lost to Illinois State by a score of 1-0. The Panthers lone league win came over Valparaiso on Oct. 4, 2-1.
In the all-time series, Drake holds the advantage over UNI with a record of 15-5-5. The Bulldogs are unbeaten against the Panthers over the last five meetings with a record of 4-0-1. Drake has defended its home turf well against UNI with a record of 9-2-1 in games played from Des Moines.
