DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's tennis has finalized its schedule of matches for the upcoming 2026 spring season, the team announced today.
The Bulldogs, under the tutelage of second year head coach
Justin Stuckey, will have a trio of contest in late January to kick off their slate. The spring calendar is set to start with back-to-back matches in Lincoln, Nebraska. Drake will take on Memphis in a neutral site duel (Jan. 24) before battling the host Huskers (Jan. 25). January will conclude with the Bulldogs' home opener on Jan. 30 when Marquette visits Des Moines.
Drake will begin the month of February with another home match, this time against former league rival Creighton (Feb. 6).
Stuckey's squad will then travel to Evansville, Indiana for two more non-conference tilts against Southern Indiana (Feb. 6) and Austin Peay (Feb. 7) before embarking on a 4-match homestand.
The day of the Dogs' longest home stretch of the season will take place on Feb. 15 with a double-header against NAIA foes Grand View and William Woods. Drake then hosts Chicago State (Feb. 20) and Saint Louis (Feb. 21) to cap the homestand.
February will conclude with another 2-match trip, this time to Cincinnati, Ohio for bouts against Xavier (Feb. 27) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 28).
Drake is set to return home for its Summit League opener on Mar. 4 against Oral Roberts before venturing back out of conference action for a trip to Northern Illinois on Mar. 16. The calendar turns to April to conclude a 3-match road trip including battles at North Dakota (Mar. 28) and Illinois State (Apr. 1).
Drake will close its non-conference slate on Apr. 4 against Wichita State in Des Moines prior to splitting its final two regular season clashes. The Bulldogs will head to Omaha for a date with the Mavericks (Apr. 10) before ending their 2026 rotation on Apr. 17 against rival Denver at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
