St. Louis, MO. — The Bulldogs improved to 6-8 on the year and increased their winning streak to three games after a 6-1 rout of Austin Peay.

The Bulldogs hopped back into non-conference play with a neutral-site match against the Austin Peay Governors. To open the game, the Bulldog's top doubles tandem of 
Ben Johnson and 
Will Ecklund won 6-1 over Giovanni Becchis and Sota Minami. On the second doubles court, 
Christian Winstead and 
Logan Tomovski handed Drake the doubles point by taking down Tom Bolton and Glen Arnet 6-3. 
Adan Tarquino and 
Jose Alessandro Hernandez were tied 5-5 against their opponents when their match was abandoned because Drake won the doubles point.
 
In singles, Ecklund continued his impressive senior year campaign on the sixth doubles court with a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set victory over Lucas Ranaiaro after an hour of play. Eight minutes later, 
Aaron Dawson widened Drake's advantage to 3-0 after winning 6-3, 6-1 over Aeneas Schaub on the fourth singles court. Johnson solidified the Bulldogs' match victory with the squad's third consecutive straight-set win; he defeated Tom Bolton 6-3, 6-2. Although Drake had already won the match, the two teams played out the remainder of the matches. Hernandez won his first set 6-1 but dropped the second set 5-7; he took home the match victory with a 10-7 tiebreaker win. One minute after Hernandez won, Winstead capped off a straight-set victory with a 7-6 (7-4) second-set win — the Bulldogs' sixth of the day. Tomovski went 1-1 in the first two sets before losing in a tiebreaker.
