Tulsa, Okla. — After going down 2-0 against Oral Roberts, the Bulldogs completed a massive comeback to win 4-3.
Ben Johnson iced the game by winning a three-set thriller. With the victory, Drake improved to 7-8 on the season and 1-1 in conference. The victory over the Golden Eagles was the Bulldogs' fourth in a row.

Oral Roberts jumped to a 1-0 lead by taking the doubles point. Ricardo Filho and Parv Nage put together a strong performance on the top doubles court to defeat Drake's multiple-time conference doubles team of the week duo of
Will Ecklund and
Ben Johnson 6-1. The freshman and sophomore duo of
Adan Tarquino and
Aaron Dawson evened the doubles point with a 6-2 rout of Elijah Brewer and Jonathan Evans on the No. 2 court. But on the No. 3 court, Aaron Brewer and Ryan Holloway downed
Logan Tomovski and
Jose Alessandro Hernandez 6-2 to take the match's first point.
At the beginning of singles play the Golden Eagles secured a 2-0 lead over Drake. Filho took down
Christian Winstead 6-1 on the top singles court, and Winstead retired after just one set. Slightly under 30 minutes later and an hour into the match, Hernandez put the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nage on the No. 2 court. Minutes later, Dawson evened the match at 2-2 with a commanding straight-set victory over Evans, 6-2, 6-3. But minutes after that, Aaron Brewer took down
Logan Tomovski 6-2, 6-0 on the No. 5 singles court to give Oral Roberts a 3-2 lead, putting them one point away from match victory.
After another 14 minutes of play, Ecklund defeated his opponent Holloway 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets, knotting up the match at 3-3. It took an hour for the next match to finish, as Johnson and Elijah Brewer battled on court No. 3, but Johnson took the victory after two hours and 23 minutes of play. Johnson lost the first set of the match in a 6-7 tiebreaker. Then he bounced back to win the second set 6-4. And to hand Drake the win, he won 6-3 in the third and final set.
