SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Will Ecklund earned a spot on the 2025 Men's Tennis Academic All-Summit League team, the league announced today. This season as a senior, Ecklund was a team captain and a multiple-time player of the week winner. He won Peak Singles Player of the Week once and was part of the Peak Doubles Team twice.
The rest of the All-Academic Team consists of two student-athletes from Illinois State, one from North Dakota, one from Omaha and one from Oral Roberts.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale, have completed at least one full academic year at their current institution and have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Nominations are submitted by sports information directors from Summit League institutions that sponsor tennis, with voting conducted by SIDs and faculty athletics representatives (FARs). The team consists of the six student-athletes receiving the most votes, with all ties included.
