DES MOINES, Iowa — The Bulldogs officially inked four-star recruit, Ulysse Verrando, from Woodbridge High School in Irvine, California.
"Ulysse comes to Drake with a very decorated career in tennis," Head Coach
Justin Stuckey said. "He is a top 100 recruit in the nation and has the ability to play different styles while being a lefty. What was also very evident in Ulysse is that he has great character and believes in excelling on the court and in the classroom. We are excited he is a bulldog and can't wait to see him here this fall."
Verrando is ranked No. 87 in the country with a 10.80 universal tennis rating. His parents are Anne-Laure Creve and Laurent Verrando.
"I chose Drake because the tennis program truly checked all my boxes, from its competitive drive to the commitment to excellence on and off the court. I believe the program has a bright future ahead, and I trust in its vision," Verrando said.
